In the Fall of 1999 a serial rapist/murderer preyed
on three young women that attended Westchester University, a private college twenty-five miles north of New York
City. The media dubbed the murderer The Shadow Killer, as he evaded both local and State police throughout the
entire affair.
At the same time, a masked vigilante began foiling
small crimes on the Westchester University campus and surrounding area. Many suspected that this "Hero"
and the dubious Shadow Killer were one and the same.
Local reporter and student at Westchester University,
Laura Pace, was the first to report on both events. She broke the case and discovered the identity of The Shadow
Killer before both local and State police.
This is her true story. Since this masked vigilante,
referred to by the public as "Hero", figured prominently in her investigation, Laura licensed her story
to Innervision Comics to be adapted as a graphic novel.
